Timothy Ownbey, DO, is a board-certified neurologist at Neurology Specialists of Albuquerque in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing neurological diseases and disorders. Dr. Ownbey received his undergraduate degree with honors at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. He earned a graduate degree at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City and then completed his medical degree with honors at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa. Dr. Ownbey fulfilled an internship with the Columbia Tulsa Regional Medical Center and an internal medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo and the University of New Mexico H.S.C in Albuquerque, where he served as chief resident in 2001. Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., Dr. Ownbey is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties and a diplomate of neurology with the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. When he’s not caring for his patients, Dr. Ownbey enjoys spending time with his wife, Vanessa, and their four children.
